Synopsis: |
Former Pony Express rider Gene Autry tries to set up a stage line to carry government mail. A trio of local schemers try to muscle in to get the government assignment for their own stage line, and they formulate a plan to discredit the Pony Express by causing a series of accidents. They almost succeed, until Gene and sidekick Smiley Burnette come to the aid of their former Pony Express pals and administer six-gun justice.
Last of the Pony Riders is Gene Autry's last feature film.
