Cavalry officer Gene Autry helps prove the innocence of an Indian tribe.

Detailed Synopsis:
Calvary officer Gene Autry aids an Indian tribe, of which he is an honorary member, when they are blamed for a series of tomahawk murders. The town mayor, Hack Wadkins, is actually behind the killings so that he can secure their land. Gene and Fighting Eagle arrive in time to stop the murders of Pat Buttram and Nettie Blinkensop. Nettie mistakenly believes Gene is a deserter when she sees him without his uniform. A picture she has accidentally taken reveals Hack in the act of trying to tomahawk Pat. To get the final evidence, the tomahawk, Gene gives himself up and is jailed while Pat has time to find the weapon in Hack’s saddle roll. Gene escapes from jail by using Pat’s flash powder. His commanding colonel arrives and is shown the evidence of Hack’s complicity in trying to get control of the Indian land.
