The Official Website of Gene Autry, America's Favorite Singing Cowboy

Fun Autry Fact:

When he was a young man, Gene received an offer from a professional baseball team to become a player. Gene turned down the offer because it would have meant a fifty-dollar-a-month pay cut from his telegrapher's job.

Any Bonds Today
from Home in Wyomin' (1942)

Singing Cowboy Gene Autry sings the World War II classic "Any Bonds Today" from his movie Home in Wyomin' from Republic Pictures (1942).

The original 1942 publicity book for the movie "Home in Wyomin'" says the following:

"ANY BONDS TODAY" * Gene Autry sings this Irving Berlin song in "Home In Wyomin'," and thus becomes the first motion picture star to aid the U. S. Defense Bond Campaign by highlighting the official song of this worthy campaign in a film. Gene's rendition of "Any Bonds Today" will undoubtedly persuade more of Gene Autry's fans to rally 'round the U.S. Defense Bond banner.
