On the Sunny Side of the Cell
from Rovin' Tumbleweeds (1939)

A common plot point in Gene Autry's musical B Westerns finds Gene and his side kick Smiley in jail. And they always end up singing in the jail cell. In the 1939 Republic Pictures film Rovin' Tumbleweeds Smiley Burnette and the singing group the Pals of the Golden West sing "On the Sunny Side of the Cell" as Gene listens to the humorous tune.
