Happy Birthday Gene!

Today, September 29, 2007, marks the 100th Anniversary of Gene Autry’s birth. Gene Autry Entertainment has a few suggestions for fun ways to celebrate America’s Favorite Singing Cowboy’s special day.

In Los Angeles, California, the Autry National Center has a screening of all 12 chapters of Gene Autry's Science Fiction Western Serial The Phantom Empire.

And be sure to check out the exhibit Gene Autry and the Twentieth-Century West: The Centennial Exhibition, 1907-2007. Remember the museum will be closed at 2:00PM to prepare for the sold out Gala celebrating Gene's Centennial.

In Gene Autry, Oklahoma the Gene Autry Museum has their annual Film & Music Festival with the Les Gilliam, Johnny Western, and Riders in the Sky. The combination of the Gene Autry and the state of Oklahoma's Centennials is sure to generate some awesome Cowboy Karma! Read more here.
