Synopsis:
Former Texas Rangers Gene Autry and Pat Buttram work for Galveston newspaper publisher Colonel Bellamy and obtain evidence of corruption in the Texas State Police. When Slayden, head of the Police, learns of this he orders Gene and Pat killed. When they escape unharmed, Slayden kidnaps the publisher's daughter Ann Bellamy and her charge, little Cathy Evans, to prevent Bellamy from printing the evidence. Cathy escapes and leads Gene to Ann. With the help of other ex-rangers, Gene captures Slayden and rescues Ann after a gunfight with the corrupt State Police. The Texas Rangers are returned to their rightful police duties.
