Detailed Synopsis:
Rocky Dexter, a fugitive murderer, is captured after an outbreak of terror. A few days later, the mysterious "Black Rider" warns Sheriff Zeb Lorry of Gold Flat by a note that any harm done to Dexter will bring death to everyone connected with the case. In spite of this, Dexter is convicted and hanged. The Black Rider, who is Dexter's sister Sheila, immediately seeks revenge against the sheriff, judge, witnesses and members of the jury. She does fairly well until former Texas Ranger Gene Autry rides into the situation. When Gene discovers that the sheriff, an old friend of his, has been wounded by the Black Rider, he takes over the job of nabbing the masked killer, whom no one knows is a woman. Gene is aided by Pat Buttram, a prospector with a yen for "deteckatin'." With the help of the sheriff, Gene and Pat track down the Black Rider and bring her to justice.
