Posted July 19, 2012

Now in its third year, Day of the Cowboy and Cowgirl at the Autry Museum on Saturday, July 28th is a full, fun day of activities relating to Cowboys and Cowgirls that the entire family can enjoy. There will be live music by Jean Sudbury, Miss Devon & the Outlaw, Kristyn Harris, and Triple Chicken Foot. If you are into food there is a delicious down-home outdoor barbecue and you can learn a little food history by visiting a working 1880s chuck wagon and presentations on "Cowboy Life on the Trail." There are crafts and activities for kids plus inside the museum hands-on carts that let you touch the past.

Throughout the day in the Wells Fargo Theater, there will be screenings of The Gene Autry Show with introductions by Karla Buhlman, President of Gene Autry Entertainment. Here is the line-up of television episodes:

Autry Museum members are FREE for this event, museum admission rates apply for non-members. Full details for Day of the Cowboy and Cowgirl at the Autry can be found on their website here.
